Drew Knipper's Legacy
In the early days of November 2003, Crete-Monee and Concordia University lost a young man in a tragic accident. Nineteen-Year-Old Drew Knipper passed away. This young man epitomized all that is good and honorable in our young adults. Drew was the sunshine when it was cloudy, laughter when it was sad and shared unconditional love to all who knew him. A stranger or enemy was unknown to this valiant young man; his goodwill and kindness were never ending.
Drew was a phenomenal athlete who loved baseball and football, he exemplified the courage and strength, Crete-Monee strived for. His dedication was insurmountable and evident in his studies, team practices, weight room workout, his diet, and persistent will to be stronger and faster. Drew touched so many of our hearts in the short life he lived here on earth, he now is the best guardian angel for his teammates and those who knew him.
In order for Drew's legacy to continue we have immortalize him by creating a scholarship foundation in his honor. The foundation and scholarship award embodies everything that was Drew. The scholarship is awarded each year to an individual befitting his dedication for excellence and goodness. With the support of family, friends and the community we can insure that Drew's spirit can live on and inspire future students to strive for admirable qualities within themselves.
